Start & Restart GlobalMMCS

      Assume we have install GlobalMMCS under the directory of globalmmcs. Please follow the steps to start GlobalMMCS server

      Start the core services: through (1) ~ (4)

      In order to simplify the startup procedure, you can go to globalmmcs/bin, and run ./startup.sh, which can start NaradaBroker, Media Server and Session Server together.

(1)   Start NaradaBroker Server

Windows: run globalmmcs/mediaserver/bin/start-narada-broker.bat

Linux: run globalmmcs/mediaserver/bin/start-narada-broker.sh

(2)   Start Media Server

Windows: run globalmmcs/mediaserver/bin/start-media-server.bat

Linux: run globalmmcs/mediaserver/bin/start-media-server.sh

(3)   Start Session Server

Windows: run globalmmcs/sessionserver/bin/start-session-server.bat

Linux: run globalmmcs/sessionserver/bin/start-session-server.sh

go to globalmmcs/ jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/bin, startup web server

(4)   Start Web Server

Windows: run globalmmcs/ jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/bin/startup.bat

Linux: run globalmmcs/ jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/bin/startup.sh

If you installed H323 service package, run H.323 Gatekeeper and H323 Gateway in different machines

(5) Start H323 Gatekeeper & H323 Gateway if they are installed

H.323 Gatekeeper

Windows: globalmmcs/h323gw/win-bin/gk.exe

Linux: : globalmmcs/h323gw/linux-bin/gnugk

H.323 Gateway

Windows: globalmmcs/h323gw/win-bin/start-h323gw.bat

(6) Start Helix Server, RealStreaming Gateway and Helix Gateway if they are installed

Helix Server

Linux:

Run helix server: i.e. Run "Bin/hlxserverplus hlxserverplus.cfg" from the shell.
Open administrator page of the server. i.e. http://myhelixserveraddress:AdminPort/admin/index.html
with appropriate fields replaced. You will be required to enter admin username and password.

RealStreaming Gateway

Windows: run globalmmcs/realgw/start-realgw.bat

Helix Gateway ( Helix Gateway has to run in the same machine as Helix Server )

Windows: run globalmmcs/helixgw/bin/start-helixgw.bat

Linux: run globalmmcs/helixgw/bin/start-helixgw.sh

(7)   Activate Web Server

Assume the URL for Web Server is http://myglobalmmcs:8080/

You have to visit http://myglobalmmcs:8080/globalmmcs/admin to activate the Web Server. Besides, this URL provides many other services for administration

When the system goes wrong, the adminstrator needs to restart the system

(1) Stop the running servers and restart them

  Stop NaradaBroker, Media Server, Session Server

  go to globalmmcs/bin/, run shutdown.sh

 Restart NaradaBroker, Media Server, Session Server

(2) Restart Conference manager through GlobalMMCS portal

Go to http://myglobalmmcs:8080/globalmmcs/admin , and click Session Estabishment in the navigation bar of admin page:

ReStartDemon

Conference Management

When a conference becomes active, the administrator is responsible for management of  video mixing and Real Streaming.
